ABOUT ERIN

I was born and raised in southern Georgia. I grew up listening to Bruce Springsteen, Tom Petty, The Beatles, Simon and Garfunkel, and Irish music…a whole lot of Irish music. My mom was who introduced me to Country.  She would play Toby Keith, Alan Jackson and Brooks and Dunn in the car.  As a little girl I would try to get my voice as deep as I could to match theirs.

One of my favorite songs was “Beer for my Horses” by Toby Keith with Willie Nelson. I ended up meeting the legend Willie Nelson randomly at age 9.  I was sitting in the lobby of a casino in a small city in Nevada.  Willie came walking in and sat down right next to me (don’t ask why a 9 year old was there).

I’ve been performing for as long as I could remember  My daddy jokes that they used to pay me not to sing and now I get paid to sing- oh how times have changed. When I was 19 my cousin Jacob Underwood (from MTV’s making the band, OTown) brought me to Nashville to start my dream. We recorded my first EP in the Rascal Flatts private studio located at Jay DeMarcus’s house. In fact, during one of the sessions Jay opened the door and yelled “hey would y’all keep it down in here!!!!” I remember being mortified, only to see that he was completely joking around.

Since then I’ve been writing daily and recording more songs along the way- including “Tomahawk Love”.  The video for Tomahawk Love featured a cameo appearance by Atlanta Braves star Chipper Jones. To this day I credit Chipper for jump starting my career. A media outlet covered the story of how I got Chipper to be in my music video.  I remember the reporter saying that I had a hell of a start to my career, and would be just as popular as Taylor Swift one day.  I was floored but it motivated me to keep pounding away and working hard.

After that, things just started happening little by little. I’ve finally found my genuine, unique sound and there is no better feeling than sharing that with people. I’m thankful for all of y’all who have supported me throughout this crazy journey- and buckle up because we’re about to go for a hell of a ride.
